This policy explains what personal data Mongol Adventure (operated by Ortoo Coffee & Tours, Kharkhorin, Mongolia) collects when you use this website, how we use it and how we protect it.

1. What data we collect

We only collect data you give us directly:

• Account data: your name and email address when you create an account.
• Booking data: your name, email, phone number, number of travelers, trip preference, the date you select and any notes you add.
• Review data: your name (or the name you choose) and the text of any review you submit.
• Sign-in data: if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.

We do not collect payment details. Bank transfers are made directly by you; we only record the confirmation of payment.

2. How we use your data

• To process and manage your booking request.
• To send you emails related to your booking: verification codes, booking confirmation, payment reminders and trip information.
• To show you your own booking history on your profile page.
• To display reviews on the Gallery page (only if you submit one).
• To contact you if we need to change or cancel your trip.

We do not use your data for marketing without your consent, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

3. Email communications

We send transactional emails only — emails directly related to your account or your booking. We do not send newsletters or promotional emails unless you separately sign up for them.

4. Data storage

Your data is stored in a database on our web server. Backups are made daily and kept for 14 days. Access is limited to the site operator.

We do not transfer your data to third countries except as follows: if you sign in with Google, your sign-in is processed by Google (see Google's privacy policy). Our email service provider processes emails on our behalf.

5. Cookies and local storage

This website uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. It is a functional cookie and does not track you across other websites. We do not use analytics cookies or advertising cookies.

6. Your rights

You can:

• View and update your account information on your profile page.
• Ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing us.
• Ask us what data we hold about you.

7. Data retention

We keep your account and booking data for as long as your account is active, and for up to two years after your last booking or account activity. After that period, we delete personal data that is no longer needed. We may keep anonymised booking records (no name or contact details) for our own records.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
